You can use the Shopify GraphQL API to import data from your store into Google Sheets. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to connect the Shopify GraphQL API to Google Sheets in 6 steps:
Apipheny is a free API connector for Google Sheets. You can use Apipheny to connect your Google Sheets to API data sources, easily.
1.) Install Apipheny by opening the following link on desktop and then clicking the Install button in the Google Marketplace: https://apipheny.io/install
2.) After you’ve installed Apipheny, open a Google Sheet and then click on the Extensions dropdown in the menu at the top.
In the dropdown list you should see Apipheny. Click Apipheny then click Import API to open the Apipheny sidebar in your Google Sheet.

Tip: you can open a new Google Sheet by entering this URL in your browser: sheet.new
Login to your Shopify Store.
In the search bar type “Add Development”. Click through.
From here click “Allow custom app development”
Name your app and select the account you want associated with it. Here we have called our app GSheet Access.
Now is a good time to provide this key with the permissions it needs. We want to read and write orders for our store, but you can select the permissions based on what you would like to do. These can be changed at any time.
Now all you need to do is click “Install” to add your app and Shopify will reveal your access token.
Browse Shopify’s GraphQL API documentation to find the endpoint that you need: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql
In Apipheny, copy and paste your API URL like so:
Shopify GraphQL uses POST requests. Make sure to add your API key as the header from the example. You will also want to update the URL with your store’s myshopify.com address. Here we have pasted in the query for 10 recent orders from the documentation into the Data section
Finally, the last step is to click the Run button at the bottom of the Apipheny add-on and then wait for the API data to be imported into your Google Sheet.
After making a successful request to the Shopify GraphQL API, try querying a different GraphQL endpoint, or try using one of the more advanced features in the Apipheny add-on. In the example we used the “Queries” section from Shopify’s documentation. You can use the “Mutations” documentation to update your products, close out orders, send abandoned cart notifications and more!
