How to connect Aggregated and Deduped Hantavirus Data to Google Sheets

You can use the Hantavirus.one API to import data from WHO, ECDC, CDC, PAHO, ProMED, named national health authorities and news orgs into Google Sheets. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to connect to Google Sheets in 5 steps:

    1. Install the Apipheny add-on
    2. Obtain your API key
    3. Choose an Endpoint
    4. Enter your API request into Apipheny
    5. Run the API request in your Google Sheet

Step 2.) Obtain your API Key

The legends at Hantavirus.one don’t ask for an API key, the limitations are based only on Cloudflare defaults. Things do change and if they eventually require one we’ll drop the details in here.

Step 3.) Choose an Endpoint

Browse Hantavirus.one’s API documentation to find the endpoint that you need: https://hantavirus.one/data.html

Step 4.) Enter your API request into Apipheny

In Apipheny, copy and paste your API URL like so:

Step 5.) Run the API request in your Google Sheet

Finally, the last step is to click the Run button at the bottom of the Apipheny add-on and then wait for the API data to be imported into your Google Sheet.

After making a successful request to the Hantavirus Data API, try querying a different Hantavirus Data API endpoint, or try using one of the more advanced features in the Apipheny add-on.
